Jeff “Podunk” Pelline, who routinely calls people who don’t meet his PC standards fools, idiots and morons, is upset because local conservative blogger George Rebane called him an “embarrassment and disgrace.” Pelline is so upset, he threatened to punish Music in the Mountains.
It seems that while Rebane, who is a member of the MIM board, and his wife were attending an MIM “Christmas Sing Along,” Pelline sneaked onto his blog, Rebane’s Ruminations, and left some derogatory comments. “When we got home, the damage was done, and I have had to spend time cleaning up the crap,” Rebane wrote on his blog.
Well, it just so happens that Pelline was asked by MIM to utilize his sophisticated distribution network–basically, Pelline and his wife schlepping their “magazine” around to county–to distribute 500 fliers promoting its “Holly Jolly Holidays” program. We “wanted to help out,” Pelline wrote on his blog, ever eager to burnish his image as a charitable fellow.
Pelline has had second thoughts since Rebane posted his comment, writing on his blog: “MIM: What would you do if you were us? What is your protocol for volunteer board members to show some dignity to your promoters? We are very disappointed.”
Cinch up your big boy pants, Jeffy, and quit whining. You’re the last person who should be complaining about being offended, given your record of routinely trashing people you don’t like on your blog.
Some people think he’s obsessed about people he doesn’t like. Take Saturday: He started teeing off in the blogosphere at 8:21 a.m. and kept it up until 12:31 a.m. Sunday, only to resume hostilities at 7:27 a.m. This can’t be healthy.
As it turns out, Podunk was just bluffing–he distributed the fliers. As they say in Texas: Big hat, no cattle.
